The Flash season 1 episode 1 Barry's Job
This is a series shown on Sky one and Netflix, also you can watch it on Sky go as well.It is a superhero, crime, action sub genre however; the main purpose of the programme is to provide entertainment to the viewers, Barry Allen (The Flash) is portrayed as a detective person before he gains his powers to become The Flash. In this episode he is running late and he forgets to give stuff to the FBI, although he is very smart and can detect things very quickly and very easily. This episode shows the backstory of Barry Allen on how he became The Flash, it has a linear format with a beginning, middle and end, furthermore, they sometimes use cliff-hangers to leave you on the edge of your seat which makes you want to continue to watch the programme. Special affects are used like the bolts that come out of flash when he is running, the lighting bolt denotes The Flash and it connotes speed and power because Barry has a superpower and he is extremely quick. At the start of each episode use an establishing shot to show the introduction of the programme; furthermore they uses flashbacks at the start of each episode so then the audience can catch up with the story from the last episode and this allows the audience to see which direction the story is heading to and what will happen next. The genre is action its about s hero who's objective is to help others fight evil and save the world, its also a features elements of crime because people get murdered and there are FBI cases on them and there is is romance as well because Barry and Iris eventually get married and they are in love which is shown throughout the series.
