The Simpsons ( an animated sitcom) is a comedy based genre which includes a very dysfunctional family of five who include Homer the father who works in a power plant and he likes tom drink beer and eats doughnuts, Marge the domestic housewife stays at home looks after the baby and does all of the house work. Bart is the first born he likes to cause havoc, play pranks and gets in a lot of trouble at school, Lisa is the intelligent one she plays the saxophone and has really high grades at Springfield elementary and Maggie is the bay who never ages and cannot speak. however the are sub genres which are blended in which include romance, violence. in this episode a new teacher joins Springfield Elementary and the teacher is a mean person and he forces Bart to cut his hair then when Bart get home the family laugh at him, this is linked to comedy because the haircut which Marge describes as stupid makes the whole family laugh and the audience laugh as well.

In this episode the villain is Me Lassen because he deliberately bullies Bart and he makes Bart extremely upset; furthermore he has a briefcase this connotes money, top secret evidence or tolls and equipment which people use also it shows that the person is a business man or is employed to a company or school. In the Simpsons there is no standard structure its linear because there is no beginning, middle or end; additionally they like to use concurrent narratives this is where more than one event is done or taking place at the same time and this happens a lot in the Simpsons. For example in this episode we see how Bart is being bullied by the teacher and he is suffering, whereas Marge has planned this nice weekend camping trip for the family and Homer has forgot to reserve it and she has lost all hope and is distressed.

The false hero is Nelson because he bullies people all the time in the show he tries to take money from Bart and Mil house however Mr Lassen comes and takes the money from him. the cross genres include action and fantasy because after Lassen quits he becomes a cop and teams up with Psycho Bob and throughout the camping scene there are people wjho can fly like butterflies.
